McQuaid Wins Season Opener
The McQuaid Basketball team started the season strong with a win over Edison Tech.
This season opener comes after last season’s sectional title and state final 4 appearance for the first time in 15 years.
How it Happened:
- McQuaid won 94-64.
- McQuaid was lead in scoring by Kobe Long, ‘20 who had a career high 34 points shooting 50% from 3. He was followed by Jermaine Taggart, ‘20 who had 20 points.
- New members to the team: Bobby Flaherty, ‘20, Charlie Salina,’20, Ryan Hoffman, ‘20 and Keith Warren, ‘21 scored their first career points as members of the Team.
- McQuaid held Edison’s best player, Alton Knight, to 25% shooting from the field.
- McQuaid outrebounded Edison 51-37.
