Football Knights Defeat R-H, Advance in Sectionals

The Knights took down Rush Henrietta in a blowout Friday night. McQuaid’s Brenton Paladino scored first to put the Knights up 7-0, and McQuaid never looked back.

The Knights routed R-H in a 48-13 victory, and advanced to the next round of sectionals. They are set to play their rival Aquinas at McQuaid at 7 p.m. next Friday. The Knights look to extend their winning streak to 8 against the Li’l Irish in hopes of winning a 5th straight sectional title.

May joined McQuaid Jesuit in 9th grade and is currently a junior. He has tried multiple sports at McQuaid and currently runs cross country. May has in interest in graphic design and tries to attend as many McQuaid sporting events as possible. He plans to study business and marketing in college.

O'Reilly joined McQuaid as a 7th grader.  Currently in his senior year, he plays varsity Baseball and enjoys golfing in his free time during the spring and summer seasons.  He loves capturing images and taking videos--especially for sporting events as well as wildlife and other forms of nature. He plans to turn his photography and filmmaking skills into a career after learning more in college.
